The Internet (or Dot Com) Lifestyle

  • SumoMe

I have read lots of reports which talk about the the “Internet Lifestyle” in glowing and seductive terms and like many others dream of that lifestyle. However, the ‘Internet lifestyle’ is actually different for everybody and it is up to you to mould the lifestyle that you want. Sure we have all been dazzled by the ‘gurus’ with their Ferraris and Private Jets, and I have even seen a thread on the Warrior Forum discussing what cars the ‘gurus’ have and do those in the photos really exist. In case you are interested, yes in many cases they do exist (I think Frank Kern has, or had a classic 1965 Ferrari 330 GT and John Reese has or had a new Lamborghini), but the key thing is that you live the life that you want to live and the most important resource is time. Even the mega-rich gurus can’t buy time.

The real ‘pot of gold at the end of the rainbow’ is flexibility as well as enough money to ensure that you don’t have to worry. I know from many of the stories that I read (which I am sure are genuine) that a lot of people come into this business because they are in dire financial straits and do not know where their next meal is coming from. (If you are not familiar with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, then have a look http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow’s_hierarchy_of_needs) If you can move just far enough to be able to stop worrying about your debts, your food and your rent then you are well on the way to living the ‘internet lifestyle’, so next time you see a sales page with a beach front house, a massive mansion, a private jet and a Lamborghini, don’t lose sight of your own ‘internet lifestyle’

Until the next time!
